Reveal - Hong Kong Models 1/32 B-25J Mitchell "Strafer"

www.bowemodels.com

One of HK Models first releases, this one, but none the worse for it. The kit is simply sublime and falls together perfectly, even when the modeller has played around with it. It is most forgiving in that sense and a total joy to build.

The details are perfect, and although I enhanced this one with a few Eduard etch kits, some of these enhancements are of questionable value over the original kit pieces. But as with other HK releases, the decals are the only disappointment. They are of perfectly good quality, but only one scheme is included and no stencils whatsoever. So in conjunction with my customer, who wanted a bare metal finish, we chose "Lady Lil" from the Philippines in 1945.

  1. Awesome model, Steve. The NMF and the weathering on topi of it, both look fantastic.
I'm about to start the 1/72 Revell (Hasegawa) kit; your build will be an inspiration to me.

    Cheers,

    Jürgen
